Solid surface,
and the end of joints

A worktop and its basin cut from one material, without a single joint for limescale to settle in. Non-porous, repairable by sanding: it takes ten years of rental turnover where marble stains in the first week.

Krion — Solid surface: seamless worktops, integrally moulded basins, shower panels.

The house

The material the group makes itself

Krion is the solid surface of the Porcelanosa group: a thermoformable material of mineral fillers and resin, worked like wood and repaired like car bodywork.

Its value comes down to one word: continuity. The worktop, the basin, the splashback and the wall return can be a single piece, with no visible joint. It is the only material that allows it at this price.

The ranges

Four uses, one material

The same material serves the worktop, the basin, the shower panel and the furniture. A whole bathroom can be of one piece.

Why this brand here

Six reasons to prefer
solid surface to marble here

We sell natural stone too, and we will tell you when it is the better choice. Here is when it is not.

  • Porosity
NoneNo stain, no sealer to renew. That is the decisive gap with marble in a rental kitchen.
  • Joints
None visibleLimescale and mould settle in the joints. No joint, no problem — it really is that simple.
  • Repair
Local sandingA burn or a deep scratch is made good on site. A ten-year-old worktop comes back as new.
  • Heat
The limitA pan set down directly will mark it. A trivet is enough, but the client has to be told.
  • Thermoforming
It curvesA worktop rising into a curved splashback, an integrated basin, a shaped counter: the material follows the drawing.
  • Fabricator
Approved, works to surveyThis is not a product you install yourself. We point you to a trained fabricator.
