Designed in Germany,
handmade in Portugal

Every piece comes out of a Portuguese workshop, thrown and glazed by hand. Two plates are never quite identical — it is the opposite of mass production, and it shows on a table.

ASA Selection — thrown by hand

ASA Selection — Designed in Germany, handmade in Portugal. Every ceramic piece is unique.

The house

“Designed in Germany, handmade in Portugal”

ASA Selection claims this double origin as its signature: the drawing is German, the making is craft work, in Portugal. The house was again distinguished by the German Brand Award in 2026.

The practical consequence: the piece carries the maker’s hand. That is what you look for in a high-end villa or a restaurant table that wants to stand apart — and what has to be explained to a client comparing prices on a sheet.

The ranges

Four worlds, one workshop

The collections change each season but share the same hand. So you can mix a new release and a piece bought two years earlier without the table clashing.

Why this brand here

Five points before
choosing a handmade ceramic

Handmade has qualities and trade-offs. Both are said before the purchase, not on delivery.

  • Handmade
Every piece is uniqueIt is the argument, and it is also the constraint: two plates of the same reference are not exactly identical.
  • Tones
Glaze variationsA reorder two years later will not have exactly the same shade. In hospitality, order the complete table in one go.
  • Fragility
Craft ceramicMore fragile than industrial stoneware. The right register is the high-end villa or the restaurant table, not the pool bar.
  • Seasonality
Collections renewedNew releases come each season. We lock the references before a multi-villa programme.
  • Sustainability
The Re:glaze approachA collection born of resource recycling. A real argument with hotel groups that have to report.
